Rain chains have long been appreciated as a traditional Japanese way to guide rainwater. In recent years, their beauty and functionality have drawn growing interest from customers overseas. However, if you're purchasing for the first time, you may have questions about installation, shipping, or included parts.
In fact, we receive many inquiries from around the world, especially from the United States.

“Can I use them in snowy or icy regions?” “Are there darker color options, like black?” “I’d like to use them in architectural projects—how durable are they?” “What’s the delivery time?”
We receive a wide range of questions depending on the customer’s location and purpose.
This column highlights some of the most common inquiries to help address your concerns and provide helpful information.

1.  Can rainwater chains be used in snowy regions?

Yes, many customers install rain chains in areas that get occasional snow. While they can be used in winter, we recommend careful consideration before installation.
Even if water in the chain freezes, the rain chain itself is unlikely to be damaged. However, the added weight from ice could affect the roof or eaves. It’s important to assess the durability of your building and installation environment accordingly.

2. Color Options: Do you offer rain chains in black or near-black shades?

Yes. Our “Dark Brown” option is a deep, rich color between dark brown and black. It pairs well with charcoal gray or black exteriors and is popular for that reason.
We often receive questions like “Is it more black or more brown?” Since colors can be hard to judge from images, we’re happy to provide reference photos that better reflect the actual shade. Please feel free to contact us anytime!

3. Can you provide samples?

We’re seeing growing interest from architects, landscape designers, general contractors, and design firms considering rain chains for their projects.
For this reason, we offer paid samples of select products upon request. We can also provide existing design drawings for planning purposes. Feel free to reach out for more details.

4. Sales to Overseas Customers

Currently, our brand ships directly from Japan only; we do not have distributors, branches, or representatives abroad. We do support direct shipping to many countries, including Europe, the United States, and Singapore.

5. Shipping and Lead Times

Orders are usually shipped within one week, with delivery taking about 1 to 2 weeks afterward.
If an item is out of stock, shipping may take around 3 to 4 months.
*Please note international delivery times can vary due to flight availability, customs, weather, and other factors.
*Delivery updates are provided by email individually after your order is placed.

6. Other Frequently Asked Questions

“Is a wire set required separately?”
When you order both a rain chain and a weight at the same time, a wire set with connectors for installation is included. There is no need to purchase it separately.

"Can I send photos for assistance?"
After submitting the inquiry form, we will contact you by email. At that time, you can kindly attach images and request assistance from us.

"Considering installation as a designer:"
If you send us your drawings, we can review them and provide assistance while discussing your project.

“Can I place a bulk order?”
Depending on stock availability, we can accommodate large orders. Please kindly contact us to discuss.

We hope rain chains can become a part of your life—gracefully capturing rainwater in any region and on any building.
